HOME CARE INSTRUCTIONS AND WHEN TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION FOR COVID-19
**Please see the attachment from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, below, with important guidelines for self-care at home and when to seek medical attention**.
High risk people include those older than age of 60 and people with chronic medical problems. If you are high risk and have a cough, shortness of breath, or fever (temperature higher than 100.4) please call for medical advice.
We may be able to give you the advice you need by telephone. By avoiding a visit to a healthcare facility you protect yourself and others from getting a new infection.
If you have life-threatening symptoms such as difficulty breathing or chest pain you should call 911.
If you think you need urgent medical attention, please call ahead of time to discuss your symptoms. If you think you need to go to Urgent Care or to the Emergency Department please try to call them before you arrive. If you do visit a healthcare facility, put on a mask to protect other patients and staff.
